Sevilla Showcase & Upcoming European Tour

This past weekend, Marbella United hosted La Liga side, Sevilla u18, in their latest showcase game at Marbella Football Center. Marbella Football Center, a state of the arc facility and home of Marbella United FC, has welcomed many top European clubs over the winter season such as Dynamo Kiev (Ukraine), Viking IF (Norway), FC Basel (Switzerland), Augsburg (Germany) and FC Anzhi Makhachkala (Russia).6433-sevilla-logoThe players were eagerly awaiting this game as another opportunity to prove themselves against some of Spain’s finest youth players. The game was very high tempo and MUFC held their own with the better of the possession early on in the game. A team mixed of many u18s and a few older players  competed and played good football against a strong side out for Sevilla. As the game wore on, Sevilla showed their strengths and showed some real quality. Like the many other La Liga games (such as Valencia, Villareal, Real Betis and Levante), this was another great experience in preparation for the European Tour this weekend.

Sam Kuznicki (Florida): “The Sevilla game was a great experience to play against some of the best youth in Europe. It really boosted our confidence to going into the European Tour.”

MUFC will be leaving this coming Sunday (March 13th) for their 18-day European Tour. The tour consists of playing professional games in Belgium, Holland and Germany such as Club Brugge (Belgium), Go Ahead Eagles (Holland) and FC Twente (Germany). The players have been anxiously awaiting this tour and are very motivated to perform at their best to compete against other professional clubs in Europe.
