Overview

Mendoza United FC (MUFC) is currently recruiting high school and college-aged student-athletes to attend our program and continue their high school education or college degree. We have mandatory study halls each day throughout the week where our students will get the opportunity to work quietly in a supervised environment.

We allow our student-athletes to attend any online college or university they choose. It is each player and family’s responsibility that the school they select will offer the courses and credits needed for graduation. We recommend against having virtual classrooms or teachers and professors with non-flexible class times. The benefits of studying online are flexibility and convenience with our athletic schedule, self-paced learning, and lower costs.

College

Most of our students take online courses from their local community college. In-state community college almost throughout the United States is less than $3,000.00.

Many student-athletes pursue sports management or international business degrees at Southern New Hampshire University. There are many virtual academic programs at affordable prices.

High School

As part of our commitment to the holistic development of our student-athletes, we require all high school athletes to continue their education through accredited online programs while participating in our training program. We are dedicated to assisting each athlete in finding an academic solution that best fits their needs and supports their goal of obtaining a high school diploma.

We encourage families to research their state's public virtual school offerings, as availability and enrollment options can vary significantly. Be sure to check with local and state education departments to find the best virtual learning programs that meet your needs

For families interested in online education programs that, including institutions that offer customized curriculums, flexible schedules, and a focus on college preparation. We have had many students with successful experiences and will give some options below.

Here are some high school institutions we recommend:

  • University of Nebraska High School: $2,000, - $3,000 per year

  • Penn Foster: $1,300 - $1,500 for the full program

  • FLVS Global School (non-Florida residents): $400 - $500 per course, (Florida Residents): Free

  • Red Comet: $2,000 - $2,500 per year

  • Silicon Valley High School: $1,200 - $1,800 for the full program

  • Mater Virtual Academy: $2,000 - $3,000 per year

  • Lowest cost options: Penn Foster and Silicon Valley High School for full diploma programs.

  • Flexible pay-per-course option: FLVS and Red Comet allow students to pay for individual courses, which can be ideal if they only need to complete a few credits.

Why Online School Works

Online school offers soccer players studying outside the USA flexibility to balance academics with training and competition schedules. It provides personalized learning, allowing students to progress at their own pace, and gives access to a broad range of educational resources that may not be available locally. The quality of education in online programs is often equivalent, if not superior, to traditional schools, offering rigorous curricula and expert instructors, ensuring players stay on track academically while focusing on their athletic careers.

Study Hall

Study Hall runs from 1:30 pm to 7 pm every weekday, we can proudly say that 95% of our students have between a 3.6 - 4.0 GPA with no students below a 3.0 offering support tailored to students' needs. It includes weekly grade checks and progress assessments to ensure academic success. Personal monitoring is provided to address any areas of concern, with tutors available for one-on-one assistance to help students who may be struggling or have specific questions. Even though we offer this assistance we still recommend that families come prepared with an online tutor from the United States if needed throughout the year. This structured and supportive environment ensures that students stay on track academically while receiving the guidance they need to excel in their studies.
