Bobby Lennon

CEO & DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL

Bobby Lennon has had a professional soccer career and a long history of establishing successful soccer programs. He founded the Richmond Kickers, Palm Beach Pumas, and Marbella United FC. Bobby determines the strategic direction of the football development experience for the athletes, including overseeing the coaches, interns, pro trials, scouting, recruiting, and the student-athlete college recruiting process.

 

Marbella United FC is an extension of the US Soccer Academy LLC

  • Richmond Kickers Soccer Club, 1993 – 1997

  • Virginia Kickers College Prep Program, 1997 – 1999

  • Palm Beach Pumas Soccer Club, 1998 – 2011

  • US Soccer Academy LLC, Washington DC, 2011 – present

Note: US Soccer Academy changed its name to Marbella United FC in 2014.


1993 – 1997 The Richmond Kickers

  • 1993 – first season advancing into the USISL, PDL semi finals

  • 1995 – first American club to win “the double”, winning both the PDL National Championship verse the San Francisco Blackhawks and the US Open Cup verse the El Paso Patriots

  • 1995 – advanced to the USISL Select League, Division 2 Pro and were finalist losing in sudden death shootouts to the California Jaguars

  • 1995-06 produced 14 professional players

1997 – 1999 Virginia Kickers Residential College Prep Academy

Based in Harrisonburg, Va. and competed in senior amateur leagues in Northern Virginia and New York City. The Academy also played exhibition college games throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 1999, the program moved to West Palm Beach, Florida and change the name to the Palm Beach Pumas.  The reason for the location change was to create a quality year round training environment with the beautiful South Florida sunshine.

  • United Soccer Leagues (USL), U23 Program, PDL Southeast Division

  • College Prep Residential Academy

  • Youth Outreach Academy

The Pumas competed in the United Soccer Leagues, PDL, Southeast Division; Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA), Florida Gold Coast League, Unification Cup, Haiti Cup, various college showcase tournaments, college exhibition games and tours. The Pumas had a great success rate helping players develop and advance into college programs and the professional level.


2011 – Present US Soccer Academy LLC now Marbella United FC

The Residential College and Pro Prep Academy continued after moving back to Virginia from Florida due to the economic recession. The Academy competes in the Washington Premier League and organizes professional tours in Europe. The 2013 German Pro Tour resulted in 4 players playing professionally in Germany. In the summer of 2014, 5 players were sent to Germany and Spain for professional trials.
