MUFC’s Shelby Printemps signs contract with Greek Pro Club!

Shelby Printemps signs his first pro contract with Panelefsinakso FC of the 2nd Division in Greece. In the next 6-months Shelby has the objective to demonstrate his talents in order to land a contract in the first division.Shelby was in our residency program when we were located in Washington D.C. as the U.S. Soccer Academy. He won a roster spot on a German division 4 club after our successful 2013 Germany Pro Tour. He joined Marbella United FC one year ago to advance his career. As a senior player in MUFC, Shelby both directly and indirectly lead his teammates. On the field he brought his experience and determination to inspire others, while off the field he made himself available for discussion for the benefit of the younger players in the academy which quickly made him a popular figure amongst the group.MUFC fellow teammate Zack LaCasse from Great Falls Montana says,"I think for most of us this can be motivating and inspiring because knowing Shelby and playing on the same field with him gives us reason to continue on the grind so that we can also achieve his position as a professional footballer!"There were many factors that contributed to the success of Shelby's tryout."He trains and plays like every game and every training session is his last and you can tell he makes the most out of it." says Kyo Adachi from San Diego."He is athletically superior to most players but he also has a good soccer IQ and I enjoyed playing along-side him."And when asked about Shelby off the field, Kyo said"Off the field he is very approachable, frank, and humorous but can also be very serious and understanding when asked for advice; Because he has more football experience than us other players in the academy, it was very beneficial for me to listen to his advice and general talks about how the football world works."Added MUFC Founder, Bobby Lennon, “congrats to Shelby for his persistence and dedication to advance his career. He is a good role model and inspiration for our younger players. Shelby just proved that Americans can sign professional contracts from a USA dominated academy in Europe”.MUFC will be announcing more 2017 player tryouts and pro tours across Europe and Scandinavia in the near future.
