MUFC UPDATE ON AMERICANS IN PRO CLUBS

Mendoza United FC has 14 players in professional clubs, either at the academy or first-team levels. 

Gabriel Bacan from Miami, Florida, had his first goal of the season for San Martin (third-division pro) (Above) San Martin continues undefeated and in 1st place in their group.

Kenny Pierpoint (17) from Spokane, Washington, is our 6'4 goalkeeper, who has started the past seven games with a clean sheet in each. Kenny plays in the national league, Argentina Football Association (AFA), the highest level in Argentina. (Above)

Jayden Vasquez (16) from FC Delco, Pa, has scored four goals in Deportivo Maipu's past two league games. A hat trick last week earned him a man-of-the-match performance, this week Jayden scored the only goal to give his team a 1-0 win (Above). Jayden has been a huge asset to the team since he joined.

Atticus Meckley (16) (pictured above) scored a goal on his debut with Maipu and has been a starting player since.

Emmanuel Pineda (17) was our latest player to sign with Maipu and debuted with a clean sheet, where he had a crucial 1 on 1 stop during the match.

Mateo Pezzino (16) had his game debut 2 weeks ago where he played and scored the game-winning goal in the last minute to win 2-1 and continue their winning record. Mateo has been a regular starting center-back since.

Tristan Kim (16) has played his first game and is making progress within the team that is saturated with players in his position.

Other Mendoza United FC players have joined Godoy Cruz, a division one club. These players also compete in the top league (AFA) in their age groups: Aidan Green (17) from Torrence, Ca., Sebastian Gough (18) from Savannah, GA, Julian Chamleunsouk (15) from Dallas, TX, and Jordan Mccord (18) from Hayward, Ca. Last week, Aiden Green and Sebastian Gough traveled to Buenos Aires to compete in the AFA National League against Club Atletico Tigre.

Our AFA players will travel around the country for the duration of the season competing against the best opposition that Argentina’s youth league has to offer.

After Scoring a goal and putting on a great individual performance in his last game, Joshua Swanson (21) was mentioned as being “unstoppable” on the local Radio and is gaining exposure in the professional football community in Argentina. (Above)
