MUFC Forwards Labovitz & Buono leading the way in Hungary & Holland

While our league play is coming to an end, we will continue to play friendlies with Division 3 & 4 teams to make sure we finish the season strongly. MUFC have also created real opportunities for our players, 17-year-old Jacob Labovitz is half way through a month trial in Hungary; Jacob had this to say about his experience so far:IMG_7510 copy

“I played for 2 weeks with Ujpest FC reserves and U19’s which was a great experience and the training was attacking oriented and keeping the ball in the final 3rd.This week I played with Debretsen SC with their U19, third team and reserves. This was a whole new level. I definitely got better here and in Ujpest FC. I played with players who had played in champions league and were towards the end of the career on the reserve team.Next week I try out for Bodaorsi FC first team and that is just a pro team. They don't have an academy. And they are second division while the other two clubs were first division.”

Marbella United FC's Tommy Buono (18) from Winchester, Virginia departed on Monday for a 1-week try-out at the Dutch 1st division club, RODA JC FC. Tommy is a product of Annandale United in Northern Virginia and was also a college recruit for Christopher Newport University in Hampton Roads, Virginia before joining MUFC in Spain. MUFC also has try-outs lined-up for Tommy Buono in Belgium, Finland and Norway. Tommy has been a member of Marbella United FC since August 1, 2015 and has been on loan to U.D. San Pedro (Spain Div. 3) since January 1, 2016.
