MUFC continues to help close the gap between American soccer and European football.MUFC player Manuel Lopez (MC) has recently made an impact competing with Gnosjo IF of Sweden in Division 3 of Sydvästra Götaland.The MUFC standout scored his first goal for the team as a left midfielder. MC has played 660 minutes in 9 league matches and 2 Svenska Cup matches, and recently capped his experience by scoring 1 goal and 1 assist vs Råå IF.This is the next step of development for MC with European coaches, teammates and competition. MUFC American Player Signs Professional European Contract In Finland!
MUFC 2018-19 captain Eli Akin from Boston, Massachusetts has signed a professional contract with Atlantis FC in Finland at 19 years old.The former MUFC player currently starts for the U20 first division team as a center back. They are currently at the top of their division. This is the next step of development for Akin with European coaches, teammates and competition.Eli will continue to showcase his talent with higher level European clubs through MUFC during the regular season break.In addition to focusing on his professional career as a player, Eli will continue to pursue his American online bachelor’s degree in international business and work toward his UEFA Pro Coaching License.Akin is planning to get his European master’s degree at the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona in both coaching and football business.
