day to day in marbella
Professional Football Matches in Malaga and lower division pro games in Marbella. The beautiful
beaches are a short walking distance from our student housing. Sunbathing, boating, jet skiing, surfing, kite boarding, and snow skiing are all available leisure activities for our students
The fundamental characteristic of our daily lives at Marbella United FC is a strong work ethic and time management skills. Our student athletes are highly motivated to achieve daily success in order to reach their long-term academic and athletic goals.
One of the goals of MUFC, along with academic and football success, is to give our students an opportunity to enjoy and learn from the rich cultural heritage of southern Spain. We also encourage our student athletes to take advantage of the one day off we have each week from the physical, mental and
emotional demands of our daily routines.
The sun-drenched Costa del Sol town of Marbella, hints of its former Moorish occupation mingle with
modern-day resort amenities. Bask on the sands of famous La Fontanilla beach or ricochet among the
area’s beach, wildlife and theme parks. Experience the Andalusian charm of the historic quarter, filled with whitewashed buildings, remnants of a ninth-century Arab fortress and fragrant orange trees.

Housing
Marbella’s famous Skol Building (Edificio Skol) was the first building of its type in Marbella. Designed by renowned Modern Movement architect Manuel Jaén, it opened in 1963 as an apart-hotel but now comprises 3 wings of privately-owned apartments. The building encloses on three sides, large and beautiful, sub-tropical, private gardens opening onto the famous sandy beach of Marbella. The location is unique, as it is right in the heart of Marbella, so the Marbella Port, town centre and the historic quarter (Casco Antiguo) are all very easily accessible by walking and a car is definitely not required.
The Skol gardens include three swimming pools: one for adults only, one for family use and the third a very popular toddler pool. They are open to all guests whilst in residence but not to the general public. Sunbeds are also available for a small charge and there is a cafeteria serving drinks and snacks during the day. A private, secure gate gives access from the gardens, straight onto the promenade, (el Paseo Maritimo), and the beach. No busy, noisy, traffic, just straight out of the gate to the beach or an unforgettable stroll along the beautiful promenade.
With literally hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops with a small radius, this really is a wonderful place to enjoy your hard earned holidays.
There is also a 24 hour reception service, business centre with free Wi-Fi internet and 6 lifts.
Meal Plan
The MUFC Chef will prepare healthy, nutritional and football specific meals. It is important that our student-athletes are on a high carb diet that has the proper balance of fresh meat, vegetables, fruits, and grains. The Academy offers 3 meals per day. Meals will be served out of our team restaurant in Marbella city center which is only a five minute walk from the beach and boardwalk.
United Gym Marbella
Another part of development that is required of our student athletes is the physical aspect of the game that is most recognized in European football. MUFC athletes will have full access to United Gym Marbella. Students are required to go twice a week to maintain proper football fitness but are free to use the facilities as they wish on their down time. Personalized workout programs will be given to each athlete and will go hand in hand with our daily diet.
